Maker: Ohio Tool Co, Columbus, OH; circa: 1851-1893
An antique American handled screw arm plow plane by the Ohio Tool Co. Body is made of quarter sawn beechwood with nice figuring. Lower part of fence is boxwood dovetailed into beech portion of the fence. Boxwood arms and nuts. Minor bruising to wedge and a small chip out of one side of the tote at its tip. Some minor chips to screw arms visible in one of the photos. Overall condition is good to very good. All parts including iron are original. Screw arms nuts turn freely and fully secure arms at desired setting. Plane is fully functional and can be used as originally intended (iron requires sharpening/honing). Makers mark imprint is visible on nose of the plane.
