Maker: E. Caldwell, Baltimore, MD; circa 1840-1857
A rare double iron screw arm sash molding plane by a E. Caldwell. Plane is fully functional (irons require sharpening/honing before use). Made of a single piece of beechwood cut into two halves with boxwood screw knobs. Maker’s mark clearly visible on nose of plane. All parts/hardware are original. Overall very good condition with some minor bruising to the top of the wedges. One knob has a crack/missing piece but is fully functional.
