A rare antique screw arm plow plane by American plane maker William Way.  Very good condition, all parts including irons are original.  Plane is made of boxwood as opposed to more commonly used beechwood.  Minor dings on fence from use along with minor bruising on wedge.  Small stable crack at base of nose where skate is screwed into body.  Screw arms nuts turn freely and fully secure arms at desired setting.  Plane is fully functional and can be used as originally intended (iron requires sharpening/honing).  Makers mark imprint is visible on nose of the plane.  Pollak “American Wooden Planes”, 4th edition rarity rating:  2 stars (rare).
