A scarce “early” Bedrock series 14” jack plane with corrugated sole by Stanley. Plane is a Type 3 produced from 1900 - 1908. This “early” series of Bedrock planes is characterized by the rounded top of the sides of the plane body, a smaller front knob and the early type of frog used in these planes. April 1995 patent cast into body behind tote. This particular example reflects minimal wear from original use and overall is in excellent condition with estimated 75% of the original Japanning intact. Fully functional – iron requires sharpening/honing.
