Scarce # 605 “early” Bedrock Stanley Plane, Used

Maker:  Stanley Rule & Level Co, New Britain, CT

A scarce “early” Bedrock series 14” jack plane by Stanley.  Plane is a Type 3 produced between 1900-1908.  This “early” series of Bedrock planes is characterized by the rounded top of the sides of the plane body, a smaller front knob and the early type of frog used in these planes.  April 1895 patent date cast into body behind frog.  Type 3 iron and lever cap. This particular example reflects minimal wear from original use and overall is in good condition with estimated 50% of the original Japanning intact.  Fully functional – iron requires sharpening/honing.
