Scarce # 607C “later” Bedrock Stanley Plane, Used

Maker:  Stanley Rule & Level Co, New Britain, CT

A scarce “later” Bedrock series 22” jointer plane by Stanley.  This “later” series of Bedrock planes is characterized by the squared off top of the sides of the plane body, a taller front knob and a major innovation in the construction of the frog that is still utilized today by modern day makers of the original Bailey/Stanley type metal planes.  Plane is a Type 6 produced from 1912-1921.  April 1895 and April 1910 patent dates cast into body behind frog.  This particular example reflects minimal wear from original use and overall is in very good condition with better than 90% of the original Japanning intact.  Fully functional – iron needs sharpening/honing.
