A scarce #12 Scraper made by Stanley from 1869-1947. Plane is a Type 2 as identified by the NO. 12 cast into Aug 31, 1858 TM/patent date on the outboard adjusting brass nut. Cutter width 2 7/8”; bed length is 6 ¼”. Mahogany handles in excellent condition. Overall, this example reflects minimal wear from original use and is in excellent condition with about 80% of the original Japanning intact. Fully functional – iron needs sharpening/honing.
