Maker: J. Holland, Oakley Rd, London, circa 1861-1878
A rare British brass and steel shoulder plane by J. Holland with ebony infill and “horn” characteristic of this planemaker. Very good condition – no cracks in metal work, stable repaired crack on top of wedge – visible in photo of wedge and iron. Some minor staining/pitting on sole. Plane is fully functional. Maker’s mark is obscure but visible on nose of plane.
